What is Cannabis

Hemp is a strain of cannabis cultivated specifically for industrial uses. It is bred with a minimal (less than 0.3%) concentration of THC to eliminate any psychoactive effects. Hemp, contains a high concentration of fiber, making it a valuable resource for thousands of commercial products including paper, textiles, clothing, construction materials, and biofuel. Marijuana, classifies cannabis with higher than 0.3% THC content, usually averaging around 18-20 percent. THC is known for including psychoactive effects. CBD is a non-psychoactive anti-inflammatory molecule. In 2018 a report conducted by the World’s Health Organization concluded that CBD is not harmful to the human body nor is it prone to abuse. The medical benefits of cannabinoids include: reducing anxiety, anti-inflammation, and pain.
